Thank you for supporting the Harvest Mouse Project. We really rely on the enthusiastic and kind support of our members and others who are willing to give up their time to help with this project. We hope you are enjoying it as much as we are!
We have had a fantastic response since we launched this project in Autumn. Here you can find all the information you received in your survey packs, and a data sheet you can download. All our records are going to the Devon Biodiversity Records Centre.
You can also find the latest map of grid squares in which we have found harvest mice (scroll to bottom of page). If you would like to add to this, then please choose a square near you. Even if it already shaded yellow (indicating we have found nests) then we would welcome any more survey results from them. They are big areas, after all! Red squares are where we have looked but with no success.
Remember to carry out your survey safely. Take a friend if you can (it’s always more fun) or make sure people know where you are if you can’t. Wrap up warm, wear gloves and only do what you can manage. Always make sure you have the land owner’s permission.
If you need to ask a question, or can’t find what you need here, then please get in touch with Sarah, our Project Officer at firstname.lastname@example.org. Send any records and photos you have to her at that address, or use the online form below. Not finding nests is still an important result that we want to hear about.
And lastly (and most importantly) HAVE FUN!
